Nothing boaty > Weekends away 2016
March can be a funny time to go away for a weekend and we timed this one perfectly, although still crisp with a frosty bite the sun was shining both days so we could take our time to have a good walk around all the fabulous streets.
York is dominated by the Minster which is a very impressive building, but every where you look you find the place is steeped in History.
I think York has more pubs per capita than anywhere else in England, and there are some pretty fine ones to try.
We stayed in the Hotel Du Vin and true to their name, they had some fabulous wines to make the weekend away something really special.
Hope that we can start the sailing season in two weeks – and this was the way to prepare
