Low pressure pushing in from Iceland meant a short sharp
weather front followed by a steady decline in conditions so we slipped and
headed to Ramsey to hide from the storm.
Constant wind and a bit of planning to catch the pull of the
tides saw 10.8 knots over the ground, not bad at all.
Pretty uneventful sail across, still no sun, that will be 12
days of greyness! Lot of shipping but nothing that caused the AIS to give an

we are a pretty big boat, and a big blow was coming.
