Well the day finally came for us to say goodbye to our home
berth of the last eight years, sad to be leaving the sealock for the last time,
not sure if in our plans we will arrive by sea again – but never say never.
We had perfect conditions when we set off with a nice
17-20knts southerly breeze blowing us along into double figures, the wind died
a bit but by then we were getting the pull of the tide, proper sailing as we
approach the Mull of Galloway.
Tide changes, engine on and a beat against the tide leading
to some beautiful night hours.
ferrys zigged and zagged back and forth as we made our way up the Clyde.
In the early hours, our stern light catches the Ensign.
