Spring bank holiday offered a window of a couple of days sail before a big Atlantic depression hit so we nipped across to the Isle of Man expecting it to be busy being practice week for the TT. Here we are setting off in the first real sunshine of the day, arriving at Ramsey to find no-one there picked up the mooring and time for a glass of wine. One other boat came and they went ashore leaving us in perfect tranquillity for the night listening to the practice sessions.
Not long after this spectacular sunrise, mad Sunday started (07:00) and we slipped and headed back.
Sunday night the weather changed – we picked the right tidal gate to come back.
