Looking out at the sunset over Ardrossan with a quiet Saturday sail planned and an early start on Sunday to dodge the weather front coming in.
Karen at the helm taking ConoSur our and into a flat calm and breathless Clyde.
As predicted there was little or no wind, that was until we got to Brodick Bay when whipped up a 25-30knt variable stiff breeze, just when we were trying to pick up the buoy – Neptune testing us again.
Once we were settled two other friends joined us from Reada II and Tia-Rossi, they too were tested by the wind which re-appeared at that crucial time of pick up.
Me doing the water taxi bit for an afternoon on the back of ConoSur, Tia-Rossi arriving in true celebratory style.
Lovely morning views with one of the yachts from Ardrossan heading back early to beat the weather and a view from the back with the transom down giving that ‘open access’ feeling.
Last shot was the quietest bit of the return journey, 30 minutes later it was quite different and there are no photo’s either!!
