By 2008 we were much more used to the boat as we had been out in all weathers and were confident for longer distances. This is a snap shot of a trip to the Isle of Man one sunny weekend in July. Good crossing with not another boat in site from when we slipped to when we arrived. We followed the coast line from Ramsey to Douglas so we could enjoy the island.
Because of the high speed ferry’s there is a 10 mile restriction zone as you approach – don’t forget to radio the harbour master! Douglas is set around a beutiful bay.
The island is unique in character and everything, like the street light in the picture, carries the three legged logo. Marina was very busy and right next to the centre of the town.
Heading home at dusk, throttles not quite fully open but cutting a good wake. Whitehaven has one of the jetties illuminated which is so cool, the picture does not do it justice.
